Why Quietharbor

Plain Language Throughout

Every session uses everyday English. Official terms are explained when they appear; nothing is assumed about prior knowledge of pension systems or government agencies.

No Decisions Made For You

We handle organisation and education. Every choice about your paperwork remains yours. We note questions and direct you to the correct body when a judgement is needed.

Organised and Retrievable

Whether it is a single session booklet or a twelve-month stewardship plan, everything we produce is labelled, indexed, and structured so you or a family member can find it quickly.

Small, Unhurried Sessions

Group sessions run with no more than fifteen people so that every participant has room to ask questions and go at a comfortable pace. There is no rush to the next topic.

Publicly Sourced Information

All general facts shared in our sessions are drawn from publicly available sources. Where we state something, we name where it came from so you can verify it yourself.

Ongoing Stewardship Option

For those who prefer not to manage annual filing cycles themselves, the stewardship plan handles reminders, storage, and indexing for a full year — purely organisational, no assessments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this education or professional advice? +
Everything Quietharbor offers is general education and administrative organisation. We do not assess your individual circumstances, interpret your documents on your behalf, or tell you what you are entitled to. Any question that requires a judgement about your personal situation is referred to the relevant government agency or a qualified professional. This is stated clearly at each session and in our written materials.
What documents are typically covered in the group session? +
The session covers the categories of documents that commonly arise when a working life ends in Malaysia — including pension statements, EPF-related forms, employment records, tax clearance letters, and general correspondence with relevant bodies. We explain what each document generally is and which body typically issues it, drawing entirely on publicly available information. We do not review or comment on any individual's actual paperwork during the session.
How often are group sessions held? +
Group sessions are scheduled monthly at our Shah Alam premises. Dates for the coming two months are confirmed and published on request. If you have a specific date in mind or would like to arrange a session for a community group, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate.
What happens during the one-to-one document preparation sessions? +
An assistant sits with you across three sessions and helps with the clerical work: reading forms aloud together, typing what you dictate, organising copies of supporting documents, checking that fields are legible and consistent with the materials you have brought, and assembling a submission folder. You take the folder away and lodge it yourself. Nothing is submitted on your behalf and nothing is decided for you.
What does the Annual Records Stewardship Plan cover? +
The plan runs for twelve months. It begins with a full inventory and scan of your existing retirement documents. We set up a labelled physical folder and a mirrored digital archive. Throughout the year, we send quarterly reminders of the statements and notices that typically arrive in each period. At the end of the year, we hold a review meeting to file what has accumulated and retire what has expired. The plan is purely organisational — we handle storage, indexing, and reminders, and make no assessment of the contents.
How is my personal information kept? +
We handle only the information you bring to sessions and share with us for clerical purposes. Details are stored securely and not disclosed to third parties except where required by law. Our full data handling approach is set out in the Privacy Policy on this website. Participants in the Annual Stewardship Plan are given a written summary of how their documents are stored.
What are the fees and how do I pay? +
Group Information Session: RM 480 per participant. One-to-One Document Preparation Support: RM 1,200 for the three-session engagement. Annual Records Stewardship Plan: RM 4,300 per household per year. Payment details and available methods are confirmed at the time of booking. We do not charge any hidden fees beyond the stated programme price.
